In an email to Pixel owners today, Google is teasing what updates from I/O 2025, like Gemini Live, that they can look forward to in the near future.
The first “key highlight” is Gemini Live integration with Gemini apps (previously Extensions). You’ll be able to ask Gemini Live to make events with Google Calendar, save reminders in Google Tasks, and take notes using Google Keep. There’s also the ability to get details about places using Google Maps. At I/O, Google said this will be available “in the coming weeks.”
Next up is the “new visual design coming to Android, Wear OS, and your favorite Google apps.” There are no new screenshots, while Material 3 Expressive is described as being “flexible and customizable to reflect your personality and style — with colors, fonts, animations, and interactions that you can personalize to evoke just the feeling or the mood you want.”

You can try the M3 Expressive redesign with the Android 16 QPR1 Beta right now, with the stable launch presumably in September. Meanwhile, we don’t have a clear timeline on the Wear OS 6 update for existing Pixel Watches.
Finally, Google is teasing Gemini on Pixel Watch as a “more capable and conversational assistant. You can “navigate life easier, like creating a customized playlist, sending messages, and more.” At The Android Show, Google said to expect this “in the coming months.” It remains to be seen when Gemini will launch in relation to Wear OS 6.
The company is also offering a 1-month trial of the renamed Google AI Pro.
