When migrating to eslint v9 and typescript-eslint v8 in #814 I couldn't get the plugin to work. It looked like a bug with the plugin itself, probably due to the recent major version bumps to it's dependencies.

We will check back in a few weeks to see if the issues have been resolved.

The plugin is important because it allows running eslint on *.astro files, which are about 50% of our codebase in the docs site.
