Going to amend this for simply running against the entire inbox. I did find that you can add inbox rules directly from the message, which is great. I do wish it was a little more robust, but for most of my use cases this works satisfactorily. Would still love to be able to run a rule after I create it against the entire inbox. |

Email filtering is something of a bad experience at the moment. The method for setting up filters is buried in the settings, meaning that I must look at the emails I want to create some filters for and take notes so I can remember what is what and then navigate to the settings and implement them. Not ideal.
Then, after I create the setting, the filtering only applies to every new messages. If I would like to organize my entire inbox based on these new rules, I must do so manually. Normally, I would just spin up Thunderbird, but Tuta's clients and backend are tightly coupled.
Taken together, this makes for a pretty terrible user experience. In its present state, email filters feel more like an afterthought feature than a premium one.
