Radeln: Auch noch keine Einnahmen

Trotz weiterhin ungelöster Finanzprobleme startet die RG Hamburg auch in der kommenden Saison mit einem Team in der Radsport-Bundesliga. „Wir machen weiter, auch wenn uns nach wie vor ein Hauptsponsor fehlt“, erklärte RGH-Manager Wolfgang Strohband am Mittwoch den Fortbestand der Mannschaft, zu der auch Amateur-Straßenweltmeister Jan Ullrich (20) gehört.

Nach dem Ausstieg des bisherigen Werbepartners, dem japanischen Elektronik-Konzern Panasonic, fehlen noch etwa 200 000 Mark für den nächsten Jahresetat. „Zur Zeit reichen die Geldmittel nur bis Ende Mai. Ich bin aber sehr optimistisch, daß wir bis dahin noch eine Lösung finden“, meinte Strohband. Lediglich Ullrich sei durch einige kleinere Geldgeber für das ganze Jahr abgesichert.

Personell sind bereits alle Weichen gestellt. Als Zugänge kündigte Strohband die bisher für Opel Schüler Berlin fahrenden Carsten Niemann (22) und Michael Schlickum (23) an. Sie fuhren bei der deutschen Vierer-Meisterschaft zuletzt auf Platz drei und ersetzen Hermann Sinnigen und Norbert Heller. „Damit haben wir uns bestimmt verstärkt“, meinte Strohband. dpa
