Issues have plagued Apple's rollout of Apple Intelligence since it began last year, and now the suite of AI features is running into problems with iPhone 17. Some people who bought the new iPhone models report that although the AI tools appear to be installed on their devices, the functions do not actually work. Instead of accessing the tools, affected devices tell users to download Apple Intelligence again, but the process either stalls or shows the package as already present on the phone. The issue has been seen on the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the new iPhone Air.

In one case, an Apple Support representative is said to have told a customer to wait for an upcoming update that should fix the problem, Phone Arena reports. Online polls also show a mix of experiences, with some owners confirming they are facing issues with the iPhone 17 lineup.

Apple Intelligence isn't the only iPhone 17 series roadblock. Some buyers say the phones are struggling with cellular connectivity. On the hardware side, the aluminum used in the iPhone 17 Pro models is more easily scratched and dented than the titanium frames used before.
