Creepy Jar’s StarRupture is closing in on a PC Early Access debut on January 6, 2026, with a Steam page outlining a first-person, open-world base-building experience that mixes exploration, resource engineering, and pitched combat against alien swarms. The store listing confirms single-player and online co-op support, plus wishlist and playtest hooks ahead of release.

Set on a hostile, ever-changing planet, StarRupture asks players to mine and refine materials, stitch together automated production lines, and expand fortifications while responding to recurring environmental hazards and creature assaults. The description emphasizes a loop of searching, harvesting, processing, and building toward a “complex industrial system,” then holding the line when monsters descend on your outposts. It is designed to be playable solo or with a squad of up to four friends.

The latest official trailer centers on co-op, showing teams surveying biomes, assembling machinery, and coordinating during attacks. It reinforces the game’s emphasis on readable first-person action and synchronized base defense while teasing larger structures and multi-angle chokepoints that favor group roles.

Creepy Jar details an Early Access roadmap directly on Steam. The team plans roughly a year in Early Access to refine systems with community feedback. The EA build targets “the majority” of core mechanics, including the up-to-four-player cooperation mode and one of the planned biomes, while the 1.0 release aims to add more biomes, enemies, buildings, mechanics, and a story mode. The listing also notes that the price will stay the same during EA and is planned to increase at full release.

Feature flags on Steam currently include Single-player and Online Co-op, with language support for English and additional localized interfaces and subtitles. Genre tags span Action, Adventure, Indie, Simulation, and Early Access, positioning StarRupture among survival-craft sandboxes that reward long-term planning as much as moment-to-moment shooting. With a date now set, the message is simple: wishlist, assemble a crew, and prepare to automate, expand, and defend when StarRupture touches down in Early Access on January 6, 2026.
