We Will Not Accept A Post Mark Before That Date

Please purchase tickets at the highest price level you can afford. Purchasing higher-priced tickets leaves lower priced tickets available for those who need them most. The ticket allotments are divided by amounts and dates. You MUST pay attention to post mark deadlines. Please Read ALL instructions carefully before you run towards the mailbox. There is important NEW information for 2002 ticket sales. You may also find answers to frequently asked questions.

4,000 tickets at $165 -- THE $165 TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!
4,000 tickets at $175 -- SOLD OUT - There are a limited number available via Outlet ONLY!
4,000 tickets at $185 -- deadline June 30, 2002

UNLIMITED TICKETS at $200 -- deadline Fri., Aug. 23, 2002

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU MUST READ
- New for 2002 -

  • When a price level is sold out, we will announce it on the hotline, website and Jack Rabbit (JRS): internet newsletter. It's up to you to verify availability of a ticket price before you send your order. The $165 and $175 level tickets are SOLD OUT! There are a limited number of $175s available at the following 3 Walk In outlets: In Reno, NV: The Melting Pot, 888 S Virginia Winnemucca, NV: Red Cat Records, 1051 W 4th St. Sacramento Outlet: Cheap Thrills, 1217 21st St. See info below.
  • As of 4/2/02 we have officially mailed the initial onslaught of tickets. If you have not yet received your ticket, please be patient, it is in the mail on the way to you at this very moment.
  • Please note that Burning Man NO LONGER ACCEPTs PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS FOR MAIL ORDERS. Please send money orders / cashiers checks only - with your name and address clearly written on the face. Save your Money Order receipt in case we are unable to fulfill your order.
  • Mail order payment MUST accompany an order form. Use the button at the bottom that will direct you to create your own form.
  • Due to problems with the US Postal Service, we strongly encourage that you have your tickets sent to you by secure delivery. We will use Airborne Express. If you wish them returned by secure delivery, please add $10 to your order, and mark appropriately on the form. We will not be responsible for tickets lost in the mail if you opt for regular postal delivery.

DEADLINES:

  • After June 30, 2002, all pre-sale tickets are $200 (through 8/23/02).
  • Last postmark we will accept for mail orders is July 15, 2002.
  • All $200 tickets sold online after August 1 are WILL CALL at the event Gate. Online purchases end Friday, August 23, 2002 at midnight PST.
  • Tickets purchased at the gate will cost at least $250 and will increase each day of the event. NO tickets will be sold at the event after 11 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2002.
  • All orders must be postmarked by 11:59 PM of the appropriate deadline date. Incorrect, illegible, or late orders will not be accepted and will be returned to you.

What Everyone Needs To Know About Burning Man
(but were afraid to ask)

  • Your Address is Never Sold to vendors, corporations or any outside business. All addresses stay within our database. Tickets are our primary source of revenue.
  • We are not responsible for tickets lost in the mail.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, even if you do not attend the event.
  • If you cannot attend, you may sell your ticket on the e-playa on this website.
  • You must bring your ticket with you to enter Black Rock City.
  • If you forget your ticket, you will have to buy a new one at gate prices.
  • Children under 12 accompanied by a parent will be admitted for free.
  • People under 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age.
  • Dogs are highly discouraged at the event. Please see The Pet Unfriendly Playa section of our website...If you must bring your dog, Pooch Passes are $100, and should be purchased prior to the event through the SF office.
  • Burning Man is a temporary art community, created in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. It is an experiment in radical self-expression, now in its 17th year.
  • Participants must bring all necessities for survival, including water, food & shelter.
  • There is no commercial vending at this event.
  • Commercial use of moving or still images taken at Burning Man is forbidden without permission of Burning Man.
  • We ask that you tread lightly on the desert and Leave No Trace when you depart.
  • All participants must read the Survival Guide for 2002, which will be sent out this Summer. Feel free to read the Survival Guide for 2001 on the Website.
