Usher's big debut for the silver screens "In The Mix" is to him what
"Waterworld" was for Kevin Costner. Believe me, this movie (if you can
call it that) is one of the most forgettable, painful, and idiotic
experiences I've has this year. Nothing truly works here, passing from
Ron Underwood's amateur direction, a retarded screenplay, and actors as
convincing as a soda can. If there is one movie you can say "I pass"
to, it is "In The Mix".
The story just sounds dull from the beginning. A DJ (Usher) saves a mob
boss (Chazz Palmienteri, who else?) and is selected to be his
daughter's bodyguard. I'm not sure if Underwood expected an Oscar for
that, because it is just a real stupid attempt. In fact, his direction
rivals with Uwe Boll's direction, both of them starting a movie from
nowhere and dragging it on until they don't know what to do with it.
"In The Mix" is the most amateurish film of the year, that undeniable.
Now everyone says Usher can't act. That's mean, guys. Yes, he can act,
the difference is that his so called "acting" is as good as Halle
Berry's Catwoman. The whole intention of the movie is to push his
stardom to higher levels. Too bad, Usher. You didn't make it.
I could take forever explaining why you do NOT want to see this movie,
but I think I can end this here. "In The Mix" is horrible, as simple as
that. If you're willing to waste money, hide from a storm, or just
experience new things, than you can buy a ticket for it. But, trust me,
it is a complete waste, it is worst than a tornado storm, and it is
definitely not new.------0/10
