Extremely worthy remake of the Roger Corman original, 11 June 2002

Superior to the original and the earlier Tracy Lords remake. Michael York
plays the Alien named Sidal-2 from a plague-ridden planet that is seeking a
cure in the blood of Earth people. York is abducting and sending humans
back
to his dying world for study, only to find that his efforts come too late
and that the humans he sends back are in fact being consumed out of
desperation, not studied. Fascinating for it's use of formerly respected
actor York of "Blue Max" and "Logan's Run" fame. Abuse of a door-to-door
missionary is one of the most humorous and then disturbing scenes, as
York's
character's contempt for people who believe in God seems too real to be an
act!
