Terminology for subscribing to mailing lists:

Subscription message

when you send e-mail to subscribe, you need to include this text (shown in bold for each mailing list described below) in the mail message itself. The subject of the e-mail can usually be left blank.

Subscription subject

in order to subscribe, you need to include this text (shown in bold) in the e-mail subject line. The contents of the e-mail are usually unimportant.

If there are no details for the Subscription message and Subscription subject then you do not need to send anything special - a blank subject/message should suffice.

IMDb Mailing Lists

This is a read-only list where newsworthy items about the Internet Movie Database will be released. This makes it a good way to keep up with changes and new features. Frequency of mailing is once per week at most
