The International Dyke Conference (IDC) is held at the interval of every FIVE years. First IDC was held at Toronto (Canada) in 1985, Second at Adelaide (Australia) in 1990, Third at Jerusalem (Israel) in 1995, and Fourth at Cape Town (South Africa) in 2000-2001. Recently, Fifth IDC was held in Rovaneimi (Finland) between 31st July 05 3rd August 05. During the 5th IDC it had been decided that 6th International Dyke Conference will be held in India in 2010 under the convenership of Prof. Rajesh K. Srivastava.
