Transcontinental Trade Corridor link

One of the maps from the NASCO web site

http://www.growthnetworld.com/na_corridors/add_a_map.html

The Canadian government's Canada Transport website [wd.gc.ca/mediacentre/1999/mar05-1a_e.asp]

describes

the Mid-Continent International Trade Corridor as a rail and highway network which stretches from Manitoba to Mexico...

Starting from Larado Texas, four football fields wide, the NAFTA SPP corridors travel from Mexico to Winnipeg, where it is called the Red River Corridor. From there Super roads travel west to Port Rupert, and North to Port Churchill. But it is also travelling east via CN,CP, and the Mid-Penn Transportation Highway.

The Super Highway has a major Inland Port located in Kansas, where it has actually gone underground to allow for massive storage. http://www.nascocorridor.com/naipn/pages/kc_infra.html

From Kansas City, there are four break off Transportation Corridors, Winnipeg, Detroit/Windsor, Vancouver, and Atlantica, as well as a Mid-Penn or Mid-Niagara Super Corridor in the planning.

These Super wide Transportation Corridors were meant to allow massive Truck, Train, and Plane access. Airports are planned for each major Inland Port Hub, and all of these Transportation Corridors are either protected by fences, or built underground as they are in Kansas City.

So while most of the world is worrying about cutting co2 emmissions down drastically, Harper and his ties to the Tar Sands are more interested in a Northern port on Hudson Bay, and creating more trade routes. His plans to sell the Tar Oil to the world is only enhanced by climate warming.

Copenhagen will be one of the most critical meetings the world has ever experienced and Canada is being represented by a man that still doesn't get it.

Polluted tar sands ponds leaking, report indicates

ENVIRONMENT REPORTER

The tailings ponds storing waste water left over from the processing of Alberta tar sands oil are leaking an estimated 11 million litres of contaminated water every day, according to a new report.

The figure, one of the first publicly available on the scale of the seepage from tailing ponds that dot the landscape in Northern Alberta, is being released today in a report by Environmental Defence, a Toronto-based conservation advocacy group.

The leakage amount would fill Toronto's Rogers Centre stadium 2
