XD Project

Following the environmental trends and developing the latest technological achievements DOK-ING, from its foundation, supports programs of sustainable development, which also includes transition to the alternative powered vehicles. Therefore, a part of DOK-ING special purpose vehicles is powered by hybrid (firefighting) or fully electric (underground mining) engines. Now there is a new concept vehicle following DOK-ING philosophy, urban electric car which codename is 'XD'.

DOK-ING believes that now is the right moment for its development, because the world electric car market has not yet been formed. In fact, whenever the industry is developing  products based on new technologies, all manufacturers are at the same starting line (of course, the question is will the manufacturers have the funds for their implementation and future mass-market placement). That is the reason why all the world's, large and small, car industry announced or already showed their first electric car concepts.

The Croatian Government and the EU have very positive believes on developing these technologies because electric cars produce ZERO CO2! However, in the these days present recession, for implementation of car industry serial production in Croatia it si very likely that the project will need foreign investment. If that does not happen, DOK-ING plans to produce tailor-made cars upon request.
