AMZ is a resource with information about guitar effects pedals, stompboxes, audio circuits and tips on how to build them. There are fuzzbox schematics, signal booster projects, audio mixers and much more available free. Take some time to browse the site and discover information that can help you with your next DIY effects pedal project. You might decide to build your own clone of a classic!

Browse the free pedal building info in the Projects section, the Lab Notebook, the Guitar FX blog or many of the links in the left column. Enjoy!

NEW! Build the S-Comp using the Analog Devices SSM2165 compressor chip. This is an update of the old Q&D; Compressor 1 project. PC boards and chips are now available. I love the sound of this simple two-knob pedal on bass or guitar.

Guitar Effects BlogAMZ Guitar FX blog updated!
There are several new articles in the stompbox blog, including tips on LED connections, mods for the 5-knob compressor, buffered output for TS-808 clones, DS-1 fat mod and much more. Bookmark and check it often!

RECENT PROJECTS
The Boss DS-1 mod that was previously posted in the AMZ
effects blog is now available for download as a pdf. Enjoy!

True bypass relayNEW! The AMZ true-bypass relay controller is available. Use a soft-touch momentary switch to control your pedal's bypass. Next, build your own kill switch for some glitchy stomp action. Also, the Power Supply pcb is in stock - make your own pedalboard power supply at a fraction of the cost of a commercial unit. The Multi-Fuzz and Tweed Stack pc boards are finished and the instructions are being written. Coming soon!

The R-C filter cutoff and LED resistor calculators have both been updated to make them more versatile. Find these online calculators and more in the AMZ Lab Notebook.

Multipurpose Opamp PCB Check out the etched and drilled, ready-to-solder pc boards available for AMZ guitar effects projects, including a guitar direct box, opamp booster, boost/buffer and others. The boards have a green solder mask and a white silkscreen parts placement. Schematics and detailed instructions are included with every order.
