The Tiresias™ family of fonts are now free to download, subject to the licence agreement.

Download Tiresias™ Fonts

To download and install the free Tiresias™ fonts for PC:

• Hold your mouse cursor over one of the following links.
  Click the right mouse button, and select the 'save link as', 'save target as' or 'save file as' option.
  Save the zipped folder to your desktop.

• PCFont
  



• Signfont
  



• You then need to unzip the folder using Winzip, Stuffit or similar software.
• Extract the .TTF files by saving them to My Documents or Desktop. Make a note of where you save them.
• Once the .TTF files are extracted, open up 'My Computer', 'Control Panel' and 'Fonts'.
• From the top menu, select 'File' and 'Install New Font'.
• Select the location where you saved the Tiresias™ font files.
• Highlight the file name and select 'OK'.
• The font should now be installed.

To download and install the free Tiresias™ fonts for Linux (GNOME):

• Open 'Places' (nautilus)
• Type in file:///
• Drag the unzipped .ttf font files

Tiresias Screenfont

Tiresias Screenfont is available from Bitstream who have the specialist knowledge needed for implementing this font. There are three different options to order this font from them:

1. Order from Bitstream Sales - [email protected]
2. Order through Bitstream reseller sales in the UK
3. Order through Bitstream reseller sales in the United States

Licence

These files are part of the Tiresias™ family of fonts. They are free software; you can redistribute them and/or modify them under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 3 of the License, or any later version.

The Tiresias™ fonts are distributed in the hope that they will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for more details.

As a special exception, if you create a document which uses this font, and embed this font or unaltered portions of this font into the document, this font does not by itself cause the resulting document to be covered by the GNU General Public License. This exception does not however invalidate any other reasons why the document might be covered by the GNU General Public License. If you modify this font, you may extend this exception to your version of the font, but you are not obligated to do so.
