Show Summary

Based on the Argentine crime drama Mujeres Asesinas, creator Hannah Shakespeare adapted Killer Women into an American setting. The series is a female perspective from inside the dangerous world of the elite law enforcement group known as the Texas Rangers. One of the first women to join the group, Molly Parker seeks truth and justice even if some rules need to be broken to achieve those goals. She must compete to prove herself to the men within the Rangers but she knows her boss, Company Commander Luis Zea has her back. Molly also has the support of her family which include her brother Billy and his wife Becca. Molly's divorce from smarmy Jake Colton is in the works but that doesn't stop her from starting an affair with the sexy and dangerous DEA Agent, Dan Winston.

The series is produced by ABC Studios. Hannah Shakespeare ("The Raven") and Ed Zuckerman ("Law & Order") serve as executive producers/writers, along with executive producers Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family"), Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale"), Ben Silverman ("The Office"), and Luis Balaguer ("Viva Hollywood!") on the series.

The Pilot opening shows a shot of the Alamo and was filmed in San Antonio, Texas; however, the rest of the Pilot was filmed in Austin, Texas. The remaining seven episodes were filmed in Albuquerque and Corrales, New Mexico.

ABC cancelled the series after the second episode aired. They pulled episodes six and seven, choosing to air only episodes one, two, three, four, five and eight.

  • Killer Women

    9.5
My wife and I loved "Killer Women". We are very disappointed that ABC canceled it. No one asked us if we liked it!!!
  • I thought this was an awesome show!

If ABC didn't want to show the entire season they could have at least put it ON Demand for us. I hate when networks don't respect their viewers enough to let them decide. I really loved the fact that this show had such a strong female lead and I love the Texan theme. I know it might not have been kind of see through, but all shows don't have to be super serious with million dollar budgets!moreless
  • ABC have no respect whatsoever for their audience

    6.0
No matter how good or bad this show was, the viewers had the right to see all the episodes in the correct sequence.

I find what ABC did (cutting short the season in a way so nobody would understand how did it get to the end episode) callous and arrogant. They don't care about their viewers and I fervently hope they will be soon BANKRUPT. The responsible for programming should be either hanged or go to work in Siberian salt mines.

ABC is really one of the worst out there.moreless
  • Doesn't Make Sense

    1.0
This show would have made sense in the 1980's or 1990's. It just seems dated. No wonder it got cancelled.
  • I am sooo pissed off!

    7.0
Just watching the last episode aired, which I had dvr'd during the Olympics, only to find that abc ran the finale instead of the next episode. So now I have no idea what is going on. Couldn't they have run the other two episodes late Saturday night as some networks have done? Damn, damn, damn...
  • SORRY, TRICIA HELFER

ABC Sets Premiere Dates for Mind Games, DWTS, Black Box, and a New Toy Story Christmas Special, Cuts Killer Women Short

But that's not even the best part! There's a two-night Bachelor special coming up in February!
