Admissions

Ogden is a unique blend of a diverse neighborhood school and a selective enrollment high school.

Enrolling students
Students that live within our attendance boundary can enroll at any time of the school year. If your child is in Kindergarten through 8th grade, you must live in our attendance boundary (click HERE) or apply through the CPS Options for Knowledge program (click HERE). Students who do not live within our attendance boundary must apply through the Options for Knowledge application process in grades K-8, or request a transfer during the school year for grades 9-12 (see below). Families are strongly encouraged to fill in all school forms before coming to register.

Starting School Year 2018-2019 ​Ogden will only offer Head Start.

East Campus
Registration Procedures 
East Campus offers registration windows for parents to register their children. These windows are  Monday-Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 A.M.

Enrollment Procedures
After all registration forms and items have been submitted to the East Campus main office, and these forms have been approved, student enrollment may take place. Enrollment occurs daily at 8 A.M. 

Kindergarten Enrollment Eligibility
All children residing in the attendance boundary who are 5 years old on or before September 1 of the year attending school are eligible for enrollment into the Ogden Kindergarten program. To determine address eligibility, please use the school locator on cps.edu.  The parent, legal guardian, or temporary custodian of any elementary age child enrolling in a Chicago public school is required to submit proof of age and required medical records to the school. Please proactivity obtain your child's immunication & physical information.

1st-8th grade
The following are step-by-step directions for enrolling at Ogden International. We are different than most schools in that we are both a neighborhood school for K-8, and a selective enrollment for grades 9-12. Please read all of the steps below.

Step 1: Determine if Ogden International is your neighborhood school here. Transfers from another school must comply with our residency requirements. If you don't live in the attendance boundary and would like to enter the open enrollment process, in the rare instance there are available seats, go here.

Step 2: Prepare all necessary documentation in the column to the right. Please review the list for the required enrollment documents.  Enrollment will only take place when all required paperwork is submitted.

High School

Graduates of 8th grade at Jenner Campus can automatically enroll in 9th grade at Ogden's West Campus.

If your child graduated from a different middle school they need to apply via the CPS application process (click HERE), which requires attendance at an IB information session and a cut score that meets or surpasses our minimum.

If you do not attend an IB Information Session you will not be allowed to apply as a freshman.
