SSHMonitor needs functionality that can check if sending mail works. This needs to be done in the check method in the setup.py script. Adding this functionality to the sshmonitor.py script could be a possibility as well.

Each asserts should have further detailed docs. These docs should at minimum include:

• Parameter list with expected data types and description for each parameter.
