The device selector popup can be opened multiple times by pressing d more than once.
To get back to the main menu, each of these needs to be closed separately by pressing q the same number of times.

It would be nicer if pressing q only once always goes back to the main menu.

E.g, actual behavior:

  • press d
  • press d
  • press q
  • You're seeing the device selector

spotifyd disables shuffle (at least) on every restart.

I usually have shuffle turned on.

So it would be cool if spotifyd could either preserve the status of if shuffle is enabled, or have a config/commandline option to set an initial value if shuffle should be enabled.

This is a minor design quirk rather than a major bug - I know I'm being fussy by reporting this. I'll counter that by saying I really like the Spot app and it has replaced the official Spotify client on all my Linux machines. Spot is much more pleasant to use.
