Skeletons found under Essex car park

Available for over a year

Three Roman skeletons, including one believed to have been an official or Army officer have been uncovered beneath an Essex car park. The graves were discovered by archaeologists working at the Moulsham Street car park in Chelmsford, which is being redeveloped into affordable homes. James Gardner happened to be passing by the site and saw the remains for himself, which are thought to date from the late Roman period... Picture credit: James Gardner.
