Hi, I’m Evie and today we are going to connect, by forming our very own dance crew.
Together, we are all going to be a small part of a much bigger team.
Can you copy what I do?
Okay, we're going to start with our hands on our hips.
And using our thumbs we're going to point to ourself and lean to the side.
Then we're going to lean to the other side and point to our classmates.
Very good.
Then we're going to punch the air four times.
One, two, three, four.
So we've got "Me and you", one, two, three, four.
Very good.
Now for the second move, we're going to use our arm and slide it across and take a side step.
Slide it across and take a side step.
One more time.
Slide, step, slide, step.
Very good. And our third and final move is a box step.
What we're going to do is move this foot, then this foot, then bring it back and bring it back.
A box step.
And now we're going to use our arms and punch to the sky.
So we're going to go, one, two, three, four.
Very good, one more time.
One, two, three, four.
Great.
It’s important to feel included. We are all very special with unique talents but when we come together these can be even stronger.
Ok dance crew, I think we're ready to do this all together.
And remember if you go a bit wrong, it doesn’t matter.
Just enjoy it! Here we go.
Me and you, we’re going to make a beautiful crew.
We’ve got one plus one, plus two plus two and we’re gonna have fun with the things we do.
Say you and me, we’re going to make a beautiful team.
We’ll help each other, to be supreme.
We’re better together, to reach our dreams.
You were brilliant!
Are you ready to go again?
This time let's do it twice.
Here we go.
Me and you, we’re going to make a beautiful crew;
We’ve got one plus one, plus two plus two and we’re gonna have fun with the things we do.
Say you and me, we’re going to make a beautiful team.
We’ll help each other, to be supreme.
We’re better together, to reach our dreams!

Ah, that was awesome!
Sometimes we can worry that we won’t get things right or won’t be included, but we have unique talents and everyone contributed to our dance.
Your part was important.
So say after me, “I am important.”
And again, “I am important.”
Catch you later crew!
Bye!
CBeebies presenter Evie Pickerill teaches the class a street dance routine that encourages the feeling of being part of a bigger team.
This fun classroom activity encourages feelings of inclusion and togetherness, as pupils all join together as a crew but also chip in with their own unique dance moves.
The activity culminates in a wider 'crew' performance where pupils choose different parts of the dance to be involved in, giving them a sense of importance and belonging.
Connecting with others helps us to form our identity and allows us to see how we can make a valuable contribution to the world that we live in.
