The IPCC will be at the thirtieth Conference of the Parties (COP30) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to be held from 10 to 21 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil.
On 10 November, the IPCC Chair Jim Skea is scheduled to address the COP30 opening plenary and speak at the Earth Information Day. IPCC Secretary Abdalah Mokssit will address the opening of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA).
In coordination with the UNFCCC the IPCC is holding a side event on the morning of 13 November to present and discuss progress on the ongoing work of IPCCâs Working Group II, which focuses on the impacts, vulnerability and adaption of climate change.
Together with WMO and MERI Foundation, the IPCC will run a programme of events at the joint âScience for Climate Actionâ pavilion. IPCC’s events will run throughout the two-week period and will primarily focus on the reports IPCC will deliver in the seventh cycle. Most of the IPCC events will be livestreamed on the IPCC YouTube Channel and the  Science for Climate Action YouTube channel.
