
A man's body was found in the grounds of Leicestershire school this morning. Officers said the death is being treated as "non-suspicious".
The discovery was made in Townend Road in Barwell, near Hinckley, early this morning (Thursday, November 27). Police said they had received reports of the body being found at around 7.30am.
The find was made in the same road as Barwell Infant School, with forensic teams seen at the scene and uniformed officers also in the area.
Speaking about the discovery, a Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.30am today a report was received stating the body of a man had been found in Townend Road, Barwell.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
One person who lives on the street spoke about the incident, as they said: "It’s usually a quiet road, I mean you can hear the kids at break time but not much goes on. I opened by curtains at the usual time and saw police cars and an ambulance."

Poeple living near the discovery of the man's body said they did not hear any emergency sirens this morning, but instead saw the vehicles in attendace at the scene.

Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the police said.
