JAZZ BASS SOLOS--709.1

Jazz Bass soloists may perform the solo on either upright or electric bass.
Students must provide their own amplifier at the evaluation festival.
When chord symbols are given, as well as a written bass line, improvisation
should be attempted, even in the simplest form. When only chord symbols
are given they should be improvised as part of the solo or study.
