SKILLS
Leadership
Participating in varsity athletics has made me perform
a leadership role in helping the younger kids and leading
my team in the right direction for success. Also, being
the senior class vice-president has also played a factor in
obtaining leadership skills.
Mentor
I am a mentor to the freshmen students. I teach them
ways to be successful in high school, and also what to
expect/avoid as they grow older.
Meeting Deadlines
Taking college courses in high school has taught me to
always meet deadlines. Deadlines are stricter in college
classes than high school classes so taking these classes
early has greatly benefited my skills for college and life.
Dealing With the Public
Having a job at such a young age has helped me develop
this skill. Ever since I was 14 years old I have at a job at a
public place where I have had to learn to deal with people
in a public setting.

2016

Self-Motivated
To be in the top 15% of my class I have had to complete
all my assignments and study for tests to obtain good
grades. By always making myself do my schoolwork I have
learned self-motivation.
Optimistic
Participating in athletics has helped me to understand
the importance of being optimistic. If you believe you can
win, you can. If you go into a game with a pessimistic
attitude as opposed to an optimistic one, chances are the
outcome wont be as great.
