Catalyst 8-Week Program June-August 2017

This 8-week strength and speed cycle for weightlifting contains weekly programs focused on heavy complexes, pulls and squats mixed with light speed work in the first 4 weeks, and heavy single lifts with speed work in the last 4 weeks. Each week provides the scheduled exercises and sets/reps for Monday through Saturday with Sunday as a rest day. The workouts are designed to peak athletes for competition or 1RM testing of the snatch and clean and jerk.

Catalyst 8-Week Program June-August 2017

Strength & Speed Cycle Week 1 of 8

This is an 8-week cycle that will peak for competition or max snatch and clean & jerk testing. It uses
heavy complexes, pulls and squats in the first phase mixed with light speed work, and the second
phases uses heavy single competition lifts with speed work and on the minute lifts. Includes all
accessory work.

Notes:

Use maximal concentric speed on all squats and pulls, especially on the light weights
For back off sets, use % of RM
