Peer Teach - Shapes

This lesson plan is for a kindergarten geometry lesson on shapes. The lesson will last approximately 10 minutes and will focus on identifying circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. Students will watch an introductory video on shapes, identify shapes based on descriptions from the teacher, and play a matching game where one partner wears a headband with a shape and describes it for the other to identify. The lesson will conclude with an exit ticket worksheet to assess student understanding. Adaptations are provided for English language learners and students with disabilities. The lesson incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning modalities.

song so the students can have a catchy song to understand each shape.
Kinesthetic: The kinesthetic activity is the partnering headband activity getting the
students involved in describing the shape and making sure their partner knows the
shapes.
Tactile: The tactile learning will be able to have the six shapes in front of them to feel
and touch. This learning will give the students the hands on learning.
