Communication Engineering-II (5XT04)

Course Outcomes:

CEII.1 Students will be familiar with the techniques involved in the transfer of
information in the field of radio communication and to explain the various
transmitters, receivers & it analysis in the communication engineering
CEII.2 Students will be able to detect and correct the errors that occur due to noise
during Transmission. To place the historical development of communication
engineering on various parameters and to understand its impact on performance,
efficiency, durability, safety and comfort.
CEII.3 Represent information as time-domain or frequency-domain functions as the
problem requires, with an understanding of the equivalence between these
domains. Both analogue and digital information will be considered.

CEII.4 Describe the operation of analogue and digital communication systems in time-
domain or frequency-domain. Describe the basic theory and operation of
analogue communication systems, especially AM and FM modulation.
CEII.5 Describe the fundamentals of digital communication systems, especially
baseband signaling, digital modulation techniques.
CEII.6 Understand Sampling and reconstruction of signals. Understand Telephone
switching theory and EPABX.

CEII.1 Understand the necessity of modulation and identify the various components of
communication systems.
CEII.2 Understand different modulation and demodulation schemes in analog
communication system
CEII.3 Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of various communication
systems.
CEII.4 Describe the operation of analogue and digital communication systems in time-
domain or frequency-domain. Describe the basic theory and operation of
analogue communication systems, especially AM and FM modulation.
CEII.5 Describe the properties and characteristics of Transmission lines and antennas.
