Topic 4 – Astrology and Karma Theory

1. Fate (Destiny) & Freewill (Purushartha)


2. Physical, Astral & Causal bodies and their importance.
3. Laws of Karma.
4. Categories of Karma: Sanchita, Prarabdha (Dridha / Dridha-Adridha/ Adrodja),
Kriyamana, Agami.
5. Effectiveness of remedial measures on different prarabdha karmas.

Paper II – Mathematical astrology and predictive astrology

Part II

Topic 1 – Basic components of prediction : Rashi or Signs, Lagna or Ascendant,


Bhavas (or Houses), Grahas (or Planets), Nakshatras (or Constellations).

Topic 2 – The Rashis (Signs)

 The twelve rashi names (Hindu & Western), Ruler / Lord of each Rashi, natural
characteristics of each Rashi.
 Classification of signs based on : Odd/Even signs, Male/Female signs, Moveable /
Fixed / Dual signs, Fiery/Earthy/Airy / Watery signs, Diurnal / Nocturnal /
Twilight signs, Shirshodaya / Prishtodaya / Ubhayodaya signs, Biped /
Quadrabiped signs, Short / Medium / Long length signs, Brahmin / Kshatriya /
Vaishya / Shudra signs.

 Lagna / Ascendant / Rising Sign.

 Result of lagna lord in twelve rashis.

 What is a yoga.
 Yogas from Lagna : Panchamahapurusha yoga, Lagnadhi yoga, Mahabhagya
yoga, Sarala yoga, Jaya yoga, Vimala yoga, Shubha / Papa kartari yoga.
 Solar Yogas : Vesi yoga, Vosi yoga, Ubhayachari Yoga, Budhaditya Yoga.
 Lunga Yogas : Sunapha yoga, Anapha yoga, Durudhara Yoga, Kemadruma
yoga and its cancellation (Bhanga), Gaja Kesari Yoga, Chandradhi yoga,
