I. What is caption ? Caption is a short description about the picture

II. What is the purpose of the caption?


The purpose of the caption is to give a description of what is
going on in the picture.

III. How many kinds of captions ?

There are 6 kinds. They are ...

1.Identification bar: This kind of caption is just to talk who is in the picture.

2. Cutline : This kind of caption is to talk who is in the picture and what he/ she
does.

3. Summary : This kind of caption contains a complete description, Who is in


the picture , What he / she does , When it happens , Where it happens , Why it
happens .
4. Expanded: This kind of caption is more completely than Summary. This kind
of caption also contains how it happens and quotes.

5. Quote: This kind of caption contains quotes which relate to the picture.

6. Group identification: This kind of caption is like an identification. But this


kind of caption used if the picture contains more than one person.

IV. Ways to write caption :

1. Don’t use the article ; a , an , the to start your caption.


2. Use simple present to describe the picture
3. Give the information which isn’t in the picture
4. Caption is only to complete a photo or a picture not to replace the photo
or the picture
5. To write caption doesn’t need to start by the name of the person.
6. To write a caption is to refer to a person used “ from left , NOT “ from
left to right.
7. Its’nt necessary to write “ Above “ and “pictured here “
8. To mention the name of the person if it’s necessary.

 In the class of Science 2, Both Baseball and Basketball has the same amount of students with
8 students.
 The students In Science 1 who chose Baseball are far more than Science 2 and Science 3
combine into one.
 The Students in Science 2 who chose Golf are far more than Science 1 and Science 3
combine into one.
 The Students in Science 3 who chose Basketball are far more than Science 1 and Science 2
combine into one.

In the chart above shows the developments of Instagram user growth from
2001-2006. As stated in data, in 2001 The first year of Introduction. It has
collected 100 million of user. From year to year the number of user run to
stability. Sometimes increase and sometimes decrease. However, in 2003
and 2005 it has the same amount of Instagram user. It consist of 225 million
of user. The highest growth is in 2002. From 100 million of user turns into
175 million of user in the next year.
