Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) Format: Curriculum Guide

The detailed lesson plan aims to explain how the elements of a genre contribute to the theme of a literary selection using a Maranao creation story. The 60-minute lesson involves an introductory activity where students arrange letters to form words related to the story's concepts. Students then complete worksheets to identify words from the story and evaluate statements about the plot. They analyze the story elements in pairs and relate the Maranao version to other origin stories. Finally, students answer a short test and are assigned research on world origin stories. The plan aims to help students understand how a story's parts convey its theme and determine word meanings through analysis.
