PLANNING DETAILS
• The auditorium plan was box shaped with a total capacity of 1200 people (600 below, 300
balcony).
• The stage had hanging audio and soun systems.
• The back stage was 4m wide, there was lobby of 1.2 m behind it connected to the changing
rooms and another lobby of 3m on both sides outside auditorium.
• There was a cry room provided at the right side of the entrance of the auditorium.
• Two dog-legged staircases were provided behind the back stage.
• Sound check room was also provided right side of the stage.
• The balcony in the auditorium consisted of light managing room, seatings for 300 peopleand
2 exits.
• There were 5 levels above the main stage for the management of various services like 1st floor
for motorised curtain movement system, 2nd floor for AC ducts, 3rd floor for catwalks, 4th
floor for props, lighting and other audio equipments and terrace for AHU units, fire pumps
and exhaust fans.

SERVICES
• Acoustics:
✓ Glass wool was used as sound absorbing material in the ceilings above stage level floors to
avoid the noise by the crew members entering the stage.
✓ Perforated Gypsum ceiling boards were used as sound dampeners on the ceilings.
✓ Also wooden panels were used on the periphery walls for sound proofing and reflecting.

• Lighting:
✓ Different lighting systems were used according to aesthetics and purpose.

• Parking:
✓ 2 wheeler parking is provided on the right side of main entrance of the site.
✓ 4 wheeler parking is provided on the left side of the main entrance of the site.

• Ventilation:
✓ HVAC system is provided for exchange of air so the AC ducts are used throughout.
✓ Also, the ventilators are used on the roof.
✓ Air handling unit is located on the terrace.

• Fire fighting:
✓ Hose reel and sand buckets were provided at every landing of the right staircase behind the
stage.
✓ Fire extinguishers were placed near the doors of entry/exits.
✓ Smoke detectors and sprinklers were provided at a distance of 3m inside the lobby, at ceiling
level and entrance lobby.
