This is a user guide of the configuration software for our tracking device AT05 serial
Thing are required before you are going to launch this application:

1. Things required to start

1.1 PL2303 driver

Please search on “Google” for ‘pl2303 driver’ or contact our sales team if you don't have this driver

1.2 USB configuration cable.


Note: this cable would be sent along with your order,
Please note, this is not a standard USB cable. As it has built in 2303 chipset in its big header.

1.3 Find COM Port combines with PL2303 driver


‘Computer’  Properties  Device Manager  Prolific USB to Serial Comm Port (COM4)
Note: COM4 is the one we are going to use in next steps, it will be different when we are using different PC, make sure this
COM Port number is less than 4 (disconnect other serial device for this Purpose)

Configuration manager introduction

Configuration Manager Connection

All below operation only take effect before USB truly connects with device. In order to make sure that device has
been connected with USB. Please check as follow steps:

Notice: in order to use configuration tool, One of the DI should be enabled. DI+ connect with VCC or DI- connect with
GND.

A: User ID
Normally this ID is blank, if this value has been specified. It will replace the IMEI number in the GPRS string.
For example:

B: SIM PIN
Some SIM card request the PIN code, put that PIN code in this item.

C: Server Response Timeout


This value should be always 30s. this value is response time for each data between tracker and server. Never put this value
as 0.

D: Activate Data Link Timeout


This is timing for heart beat package, it will send continuously no matter if the device is sleep (if device is in sleep, this
setting will wake up the device and sleep again after heartbeat was sent out ).
This package is meaningless, only for keeping the GPRS connection between server and tracker.

A: switch to send by ignition on/off or Moving


When ignition on:
Send 1 pcs data in each 30s
Send 1 pcs data in each 500m
Send 1 pcs data in each 15 degree
(These 3 thread are individual)

When ignition off:


Send 1pcs data in 300s

When moving
(Speed over than 5KM/H, no matter with
ignition on/off)
Send 1 pcs data in each 30s
Send 1 pcs data in each 500m
Send 1 pcs data in each 15 degree
(These 3 thread are individual)

When stop (speed less than 5KM/H)

A : both ibutton tag and RFID tag number can be found in tag itself.
In the picture the tag ID is: 000344699
They are in decimal.
ID Should convert to HEX code for configurator
(use calculator in windows)
HEX code for 344699 is 348FDB.
ID always requires 16 digitals, so final ID for
configurator is: 0000000000348FDB

A: output will work in 3 working mode:


Working mode switch command: 130,131,132,133
Output control command: 016 (refer to protocol for more detailed)

1> Combine with firmware feature. In this working mode, this output will reject user command, only control by firmware
itself. GPRS and SMS command will reject (response will be ‘format error’)
like the ones show in the picture:
‘Authorized Driving’: it means firmware will trigger the IO port if RFID is not correct.
‘LED’: firmware will trigger the IO port if RFID is not correct.

2> User defined mode.


In this mode, Output controlled by user. It will accept the GPRS and SMS command.

3> Disable
All feature closed.

A: IP and Port
Configurator receive the data from device, after put IP and port. Click ‘Monitor’.

B: send command to device by COM port or GPRS.


GPRS only works when device has connected with configurator.

C: Display log
Display the log on the windows

D: write log
Log will save in the same folder of configurator.

Example to change IP and APN:

1. Open the COM Port (select the correct COM Port, refer to 1.3)

2. Turns to green after Open

3. Put the password

4. Load from device first, this is very important steps.

5. Change ‘APN’

6. Change IP & Port

7. Save to memory.
