An incorrect date (study date, series date and image date) will be registered in the DICOM
header when images are sent to archive or MOD.
The incorrect registered year shows as 1907 instead of 2007 for all images registered
after January 1, 2007.
The problem will be corrected by updating the MEMOSKOP software.

• Download from the Intranet all the compressed (zipped) software packages listed in the
"Software packages" table.
NOTE The software packages are located in the MED intranet, path:
“Customer Service - For Service - Product Information - SP-Sys-
tems - Downloads - SIREMOBIL Compact L”.
• Using Windows explorer on the service PC, open the directory “C:\SSW\Memoskop”. If
this directory does not exist, create a ”SSW\Memoskop” directory on the C: drive of
your service PC.
• Copy all the downloaded compressed (zipped) software packages to your service PC
into the directory “C:\SSW\Memoskop”.
• Open the "C:\SSW\Memoskop" directory and rename all downloaded software pack-
ages from extension “.ex_” to the extension “.exe”, using WINDOWS explorer on your
service PC. See the “Software packages” table above.
NOTE At the customer site, you will need to check and see which
MEMOSKOP software version is installed. Depending on which
software version is installed on the system at the customer site,
one of the newly downloaded MEMOSKOP software versions will
be needed. At each customer site you will need 4 new, formatted,
and blank floppy disks.
The exact work steps are described in the next chapter of this UI.

NOTE The 3.5-inch floppy disk drive is needed. If applicable, connect the
external floppy disk drive to the service PC.
NOTE The service program is useable for all Memoskop types subject to
this software update.
• Insert the “Memoskop service program VB00A, Setup, Disk#1+” into the floppy disk
drive A.
• Start the setup.exe program, enter the password (see password list SP) and follow the
workflow of the installation program.
NOTE The service program can also be installed from a separate direc-
tory on the service PC hard drive.
Use Windows Explorer. Copy all the files from the two floppy
disks, “Memoskop service program VB00A, Setup, Disk#1+” and
“Memoskop Service Program VB00A, Disk#2+”, to a newly created
directory. Change to the newly created directory and start the file
“Setup.exe” by double-clicking it.
• Use the “Software package checklist” table to identify the software package needed.
Look in the first column to find the Memoskop software version currently installed on the
system to be updated.
• Read and note the name of the “Directory, including the new Memoskop software
file(s)” in the second column and the “New Software Version String” in the third column
of the same row.

Creating the required software floppy disk for the Memoskop download 0
Please observe the following points before starting the software update:
! The serial cable used must be properly connected and fully functional.
! The screensaver and all programs running in the background should be deacti-
vated on the service PC.
! Check the D1.X95 / D1.X96 / D1.X99 jumpers. They should be in position 2-3.
! Check the settings of the serial interface used on your service PC. Activate the
FIFO settings (default settings).
! In the case of correct communication with the host, but faulty communication
with the Memoskop, temporarily set switch D1.S3.2 to the ON position. After
restarting the service program, ignore the error message “No communication
with the X-ray system” and press the “ignore” button. Then select the installed
Memoskop type and start the necessary service work for the Memoskop. After
completing the Memoskop service work steps, set the switch D1.S3.2 back to
the OFF position.
Download
• Insert the previously created Memoskop software floppy disk into the floppy disk drive A
of the service PC.
• Connect the service PC serial port to the system serial port.
• Start the previously installed Memoskop service program.
• If the window “Select Memoskop Model” is displayed, select the Memoskop type
installed in the system.
! The main window of the Memoskop service program is displayed.

Use Windows Explorer. Create a new directory on the hard drive
and copy the required software file (.mot) from the previously cre-
ated Memoskop software floppy disk to the newly created direc-
tory.
In the “Open File” window, select the hard drive. Change to the
correct directory.
Follow the workflow below.
• Click on the file name and confirm the selection by clicking on the “Open” button.
NOTE If the Memoskop type was not automatically reported to the ser-
vice program by the Memoskop, the installed Memoskop type
must be selected in the displayed window ”Select Memoskop
Model”.
NOTE After a successful download without errors, skip the next section
“Download with empty Flash Proms”.
NOTE This section describes the download process for Memoskop with
empty Flash Proms. If the download was performed successfully,
as described in the previous “Download” section, skip this sec-
tion.
• Close the Memoskop service program and switch the system off.
• Open the rear cover of the system basic unit and the rear cover of the monitor trolley.

ated Memoskop software floppy disk to the newly created direc-
tory.
In the “Open File” window, select the correct hard drive. Change to
the correct directory. Follow the workflow below.
• Click on the file name and confirm the selection by clicking on the “OK” button.
