Subject + don’t/doesn’t + Verb + complement. Do/Does + Subject + Verb + complement ?

I don’t eat chocolate Do I eat chocolate?


Affirmative form
You don’t eat chocolate. Do you eat chocolate?
Frame (Estructura):
He doesn’t eat chocolate. Does he eat chocolate?
Subject + Verb + complement.
She doesn’t eat chocolate. Does she eat chocolate?
I eat chocolate
It doesn’t eat chocolate. Does It eat chocolate?
You eat chocolate.
We don’t eat chocolate. Do we eat chocolate?
He eats chocolate.*
You don’t eat chocolate. Do you eat chocolate?
She eats chocolate.*
They don’t eat chocolate. Do they eat chocolate?
It eats chocolate.*

We eat chocolate.

You eat chocolate.

They eat chocolate.

* En la tercera persona del singular He / She / It se le agrega la terminación S al final del verbo.

La mayoría de los verbos solo se les añade -s work - works

Se agrega la terminación -es a los verbos que terminan en –ch, -sh, -x, ó -z. watch – watches, pass – passes, relax – relaxes, push - pushes

Si el verbo termina en consonante + y griega, se cambia la y griega por i latina. study - studies

Si el verbo termina en vocal + y griega, solo se le agrega la terminación –s. play - plays

Los verbos con formas irregulares en presente simple cambian por completo. do – does, go – goes, be – am/is/are, have - has
