A. Summary

Searching for a perfect candidate for a vacant position in an organization is really a quite

challenging task for HR people or for those who’s in the recruitment field, especially if the

vacant position requires complex skills and knowledge. The job posting tool kit presents

some interesting and helpful information of how to do an effective and efficient job post to

attract a potential candidate for vacant position.

Preparing for success is the first thing to do, of course. The Job Posting Started Kit

presents a section where a prep for success section which contains information how can you

throw a preparation in searching for your candidates. Here they presented two ways of

preparing, first is making an intake meeting form, which includes the role needed, its

description, the skills and experience required, compensation, and the timeline of the whole

recruitment and selection process of the candidates. The second way is preparing

questionnaire. They example a questionnaire for a manager which includes more personality

aspect. After the preparation, next is the making of effective and efficient job post to attract

candidates. In the job post, it includes the description of the role, the skills and experiences

that you have already draft in the prep for success stage as mentioned above. Then after, you

have to explain what success looks like in the role, because candidates are also looking for

job where they can succeed or grow, giving a brief overview of the work environment is also

needed as it adds a driving force to the applicants. Lastly, after the preparation for success
and writing your job post next is managing it. Since you draft a timeline in the preparation of

success, you have to manage your post effectively do that you can comply with your

timeline. Sharing the post with your different networks can help you to reach many

candidates.

With these presented stages by the tool kit, the risk of wasting time, attracting unqualified

candidates and failures. In recruitment career, there is no room for failure since people is one

of the important resources of the organization or business as they are the one who performs

different duties and role from top to lower management. Each role, either managerial role or

staff role is important so that human resource or recruiter must have not failed in searching

for the right and perfect candidate for a vacant position.

B. Evaluation

The Job posting is an advertisement meant to attract job applicants. The job posting

should make both the job and your organization stand out by appealing to the interests and

preferences of the specific people you want to attract. Job posting or job advertising plays an

important role in the area of recruiting people in the organization or company as it is a tool

that can help the recruiters to search for the perfect candidate across board range of

industries. Advertisements are how word spreads that you are looking for a new recruit to

join your company. Advertisements are your way of giving potential employees more

information on why they should join your team and not that of your competitors’. Therefore,

in order to reach out to the best workers to join your workforce, it is important for any hiring

manager to be able to write compelling job post advertisements that provide accurate

information about the role you want them to apply for. Hence, a strong, effective and
compelling job post is needed, and a kind of material like this job posting tool kit is a very

helpful.

The job posting tool kit material presented a well organize, sufficient and informative

information about can you create a precise, attractive and creative job posting ads and what

details should be included in it. Aside from all the information given there’s also an accurate

examples of an actual job post. I find it entertaining and very useful which make this

material more credible and I must consider that those examples are the strong points of this

material.

All examples in each part of the material are all easy to understand and easy to follow.

The actual job post sample as well presented a very detailed and elaborated information by

why it is needed and how it helps you to communicate with the applicant through that job

post. Those examples presented in the job posting tool kit have given it strength to make it

credible and effective.

C. Reaction

Based on my own view about this job posting tool kit material, I can that it is really

excellent as what I have mentioned in the above evaluation, this material is very informative

and easy to understand and follow. The directions, explanations, and the way how they

elaborated all the details is so clear. This material is very helpful not only for those

professional in this field but also, I think for those people who is just starting their own

business and haven’t yet a capacity to hire a professional recruiter or HR, and want to seek

for a qualified candidate for the vacant positions as well.


I personally like this material. As a Human Resource Development Management student,

this is very essential and I know I will be able to use this information in my succeeding year

in college as an HRDM student. I also want to commend how the authors made each and

every part of the material interesting especially the examples.

D. Conclusion/ Application

In the entirely performed assessment on this given material, it appears that this material

will be of a great help as a reference for a human resource student like me in the future. The

steps presented; Preparation for success, is a big help for the first step in making a job post,

its not only saving your time, it also adds the security of the success of your job post as it

drafts out what you should do to make your job post effective and very persuasive for the job

applicants. But of course, that’s not all. Managing your job post is one of the most important

in the process as it will determine the rate of success of your job post. This material shown

that with the right preparation and hard work, you will be able to succeed in recruiting the

best people in town.
