Activity Report on the Observance of the 6th Juvenile Justice

And Welfare Consciousness Week

Intoduction

The coastal barangays of Nasipang, Sebaca, Balubohan, Mabunao, Damasing and Nangca
of Rizal Municipality comprise the students of Sebaca National High School. Juvenile
delinquency may NOT be a rampant case in this community but is limited to smoking, drinking
alcoholic beverages, vandalism, gang affiliation, bullying and probably, early exposure to sexual
activities. Early pregnancies are also observed in rare cases. It has been widely disseminated that
children are strongly protected by law in our country but it’s not easy to handle cases especially
when the perpetrators belong to the underage level. It is therefore important for everyone to be
informed of the legal bases on Juvenile Justice and Welfare. When everyone that needs to be
involved is involved, any problem may easily be solved.

The Conduct of the Activity

The program started at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon on 28 th day of November, 2017. All
students from G-7 to G- 11 were required to attend the said activity. All teachers were included
since they were expected to deal immediately the cases observed from their respective subject
classes or advisory class.

The first part was a film show of the short movie “Biboy”. It lasted for about 30 minutes
where students pay attention to the details of the movie. It’s worthy to note how a young
perpetrator of a violation will be dealt in a community and who are the persons involved in such
cases.

Next part was the presentation of the Guidelines and procedures on the management of
Children-at- risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL). It was shown through the
projector presented by the selected SSG officer students. The student- audiences were allowed to
raise questions after awhile.

And for the last part, the students were required to submit an output in the form of poster.
All students were given the chance to do the poster and express their thoughts, based from the
theme: “Mapagkalingang Hustisya: Ugaliin at Pagtibayin!”

Activity Report on the Observance of the

2019 Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week

Intoduction

The coastal barangays Calube of Sibutad, Nasipang, Sebaca, Balubohan, Mabunao,

Damasing and Nangca of Rizal Municipality comprise the students of Sebaca National High
School. Drug addiction may no longer be a serious case in this community but is limited to
smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, vandalism, gang affiliation, bullying and probably, early
exposure to sexual activities. Early pregnancies are also observed in rare cases. War against
drugs has been done long ago but only during this administration of the Philippine government
that the greatest number of surrenderees is recorded. Seems like we’re winning against this battle
though it’s not good to be confident at this level. Maybe it’s like a disease lying dormant while a
strong dose is still in effect, but appears readily when medication is stopped. The late Senator
Guingona is remembered for his strategy of eliminating drug addiction down to the grassroots
when he was in the Dangerous Drug Board. We should not be complacent with accomplishment
reports on seizures and arrests; rather we continue the fight down to our children who shall be
educated on the risks of getting addicted to drugs.

The Conduct of the Activity

The program was set at 8:00 o’clock in the morning on 22 nd day of November, 2019. All
students from G-7 to G- 12 were required to attend the said activity. It started with a parade and
followed by a short opening program.

Next part was a power point presentation given by Mr. Julius O. Azcuna on the lethal
effects when certain drugs are combined with alcohol. The presentation also includes prenatal
consequences upon the fetus of a drug addict parent and some indications observed from a drug
addict person. The student- audiences were allowed to raise questions after a while.

In the afternoon, students enjoyed while playing basketball and volleyball. The 3x3
basketball version was introduced and they seem to like it. Aside from those games, some
students were given the chance to do the poster- slogan and expressed their thoughts, based from
the theme: “Hustisya para sa kalusugan, Kalusugan para sa hustisya!”
