Frozen time
I'd like to say that I have had a pretty crazy childhood and upbringing but if I had to
freeze a moment in my life it would be extremely hard after much thinking that my
decision is shocking. I left for a treatment facility in December of 2019. My arrival was
shocking as it was my choice and wasn't planned to my knowledge. I was “kidnaped”
and transported to Utah with no knowledge of where I was going. No, I don't want to
relive that day, there is no amount of money someone could pay me to go through that
terrible day.
Once I was there for a few months life started to move quicker and quicker until a few
months later I got to see my family for an 8-hour visit off the grounds of the facility. I
hadn't seen my dad or my sister for months, at this point I was seriously starting to
miss them and miss having the ability to be home. I realized that I took everything for
granted that I had at home.
I would like to relive the day that I got to spend with them. It was so nice being able to
be off the campus and be with my family, it seriously shows how much the little things
matter. One of the first things that we did was go to get In-N-Out as I mentioned
before about small things this was a great example the feeling I felt when I got to take a
bite of the feeling of being home was unbelievable it gave me hope that soon enough
one more year and I’ll be home and back to what life was like before.
FRESHMAN ADVICE
I’ve been to 6 schools in the last 6 years I feel like I have been there done that regarding
the whole high school situation. With this experience, I can tell you I know what it’s like to
succeed and I know what it is like to fail… as I type this I am filling out my forms for summer
school so that I can get my diploma this summer. The number one thing to remember is the kids
you meet freshman year sophomore year etc won’t be there forever don’t try to go make a
million fake friends find a good circle and rock with them. Only a select few will still be there
once you become a senior. Another thing to remember is to always do your work never screw
around a miss a class here and there or skip an assignment etc. Ive been there ive done that I had
to make up a year of work and then played that game again senior year. If you’re on top of your
work and you just get it done school will go by so smoothly.
I have suffered from addictions my whole childhood mainly rooted in my freshman year.
Just don’t be dumb and do what I did, Don’t experiment with drugs and alcohol as a freshman
because you will land yourself in my shoes in rehab and failing in school. My best advice is just
remember its just highschool nobody cares who you were and what you did just focus on school
get good grades and enjoy the time yo have with your family
