The Digital Divide: The challenge of technology and equity

The challenge of technology and equity, this is an article in which it talks about the
“Information Technology” we have right now and any other forms of media we use to connect
with other people not just here in our country but also worldwide. New technology is a big help
to us to do things easily, faster and directly in an easiest way. The problem here is that some of
the people do not have access to computers and only few people know how to use the New
technology. According to the article “Information Technology influences the way many of us
live and work today.” I agree with this statement because we are influence now by the new
technology and we adopt, apply this new information in our homes. Only those people who have
a higher income can afford to put an internet connection. Thus, only rich people can able to find
job in terms of the degree in computer science we see that the higher percentage of the school
having a large amount of money students has the internet connection than those with high
concentrations of low-income students. According to the author “Ninety-eight percent of schools
in the country are wired with at least one internet connection. The number of classrooms with
internet connection differs by the income level of student” only those who are enrolled in the
private school has the internet connection, because the salaries of their parents are higher than
the income of our parents. That is the reason why we enrolled her in the public school In order
for us to minimize the bills and debts of our family. But that is not a hindrance for us to stop
dreaming, aiming and reaching our goals in life. We will strive hard to finish our studies and to
help our families in their problems. According to the article “It will require higher equality
across diverse groups whose members develop knowledge and skills in computer and
information technologies.” It is right, Indeed that the countries which are more develop and
progressive are more expose to the new trend brought by technology unlike of those other
countries which are not yet properly develop, they are not use to communicate through the use of
internet connection or any other media devices that we can use to connect to other people.

Nowadays, we are surrounded by the media devices, gadgets, internet and more that can
make things easier. It is important to engaged and adopt in this situation, it can help us to become
more develop and make things work faster. But we must use internet in the right way so that we
can be a better person who lived in this world with the proper knowledge.
