WISH/ IF ONLY - CHCIAŁBYM / CHCIAŁABYM ŻAŁUJĘ

Wish/ If only + past simple ( regrets concerning the present) ( the same subject or different)

Wish/ If only + past perfect ( regrets concerning the past) ( the same subject od different)

Wish/ If only sb would+ bare infinitive ( Wishes concerning a change of sb's behaviour )

I/she/he was/were- both forms are correct however it's more common to use were

Regret doing sth/ not doing sth
