Students will create a well-designed Web page which incorporates the


main UXD design theories, principles, and practices. As part of the
development, issues such as search, and navigation, facilities should be
addressed.

Assignment Scenario
You are required to design a form for this organization based on the following
scenario:

An organization based in NSW, ‘ABC Company’ sells different types of products of


three different categories (grocery, clothing, and food) obtained from different
vendors and is delivered to the customer’s door at set days of the week. To buy
from the ABC Company customers must be registered. The company wants to
allow people to register online to become the members, the application form
therefore must be designed as an online, web-based form. The registered members
can login and buy directly. The following are the details:

There should be two options: one to register as a new member and second option
is show login for already existing members.

1. Registration form of new users:


 Registration page must ask customer details
 There will a small joining fee of $50
 They should be able to setup their own password.
 To keep the account secure, there should security questions available.
 To pay for joining fee, credit card details must be obtained
 There should be a consent from member for authorization to detect the
payment.
 Members may elect to receive further information on promotions or new

2. Order form for already registered users:


 ABC Company members can choose to buy from any of three categories
 Members can choose to buy grocery items and food on weekly basis to get
member discounts
 There will additional discounts available for orders over $200.
 Orders can be delivered to anywhere in Australia.
 There are different delivery charges for different states. NSW and ACT $10,
VIC $12, QLD $14, SA, NT, and WA $17 and TAS $20.
 Orders can be changed online, and an email confirmation is sent if there is
a change.
 The members can choose the delivery to their own address (give while
registration) or can get delivery at any other address. No deliveries to post
office box. Company needs information on delivery details and where the
produce should be left.

Assignment Part-A

You are required the forms as scenario. You can choose any software to design
the form. The form is just a design so needs not be in working stage.

Assignment Part-B

You are required to justify your design decisions. You can justify the chosen layout,
groupings for arranging the options for members, input types for each detail, any
error prevention, and any others. Justification can be 1 page maximum.

Submission Requirements
Students must submit their Assignments through CANVAS shell. Email submission
will not be accepted.

Deliverables:

Assignment Part -A and B must be completed and documented using MS Word in


a single file.
