5 Typical External Steel Door Jamb Detail

This document provides a typical detail for an external aluminum door jamb in a wall with stone cladding and gypsum board lining. The detail shows the door jamb anchored to a concrete block wall with stone anchors and batt insulation between the wall and a steel door frame with wood shims. Galvanized metal stud furring is attached to the wall at 600mm centers to support gypsum board on the interior of the wall.
