1 am writing this email to notify you that I would request to file an appeal on Chief Peskin's
dccision to terminate my employment.
My atiomey wull be forwarding a written letter however we want fo be sure you eccive notice
within the 5 days. We would like to ask that we receive in written the exact reason for the
termination as to it wasn't very clear at the meeting. The reasons given were failure to produce a
letter and attend a sexual harassment course. We have facts and evidence o provide contesting
the reason Chief gave.

Dear Mayor,
| respectfully request to meet with you to discuss my employment at the Village of
Elmwood Place. On May 20, 2010 | was called into Chief Peskin’s office and was told
fhe was terminating my employment. The reasons given were; | failed to attend a
sexuat harassment class, and failed to write an apology letter to Officer
am currently registered for a sexual harassment class for June 2° and have been
registered since March 23". Neither the Chief nor the disciplinary letter provides me
with a timeframe in which these items were to be completed. Mayor Morgan, | value
my job as a police officer and would not have missed the deadline.
You and Chief Peskin may not feel | am a good fit for the Village of Elmwood Place
Police Department however; ! do not wish to burn any bridges. | am passionate about
law enforcement and being a good potice officer and do not want this to negatively
impact me in the future. | would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you
regarding this matter.
