These instructions use 6.3.4 System Manager as an example, elaborating on information provided in the administration guide.

Other releases may be different and you are advised to investigate each release individually for accuracy.

Log in to the System Manager web interface.

Under ‘Services’ click on ‘Events’.

On the ‘Events’ tab expand ‘Logs’ and click on ‘Log settings’

This screen will list all Loggers available; in this system/release there are 20 pages.
Instead of paging through all the information to find the Logger we are need, we can search for it by hitting
‘Enable’ next to ‘Filter’ to the far right of the screen... this will display the search bar.

In this search bar enter the name of the Logger

com.avaya.security.iam.audit
and click on ‘Apply’ next to ‘Filter’ to the far right, or just hit
Enter.

When the Logger is shown,

select it and hit ‘Edit’ to
display the ‘Attached
Appenders’ window for the
Logger selected.

On this window hit the ‘Attach’ button

to add appenders to the Logger.
On the Attach Appender screen, select ‘SYSLOG’ from the drop down; additional information will be populated
which is read-only at this time. Hit ‘Commit’ to save your changes and return to the Logger screen.

Finally, select ‘SYSLOG’ and hit ‘Edit’.

This will allow you to edit the ‘Host’ field, where you
will enter the hostname or IP address of the server
to receive and store the system logs.
