Power Outage Emergency Procedure:

4.1 Notification:

 Notify the supervisor and Team Leader of the power outage.


 If the power outage is expected to last longer than a few minutes, call the local utility
company to report the outage.

4.2 Safety Check:

 Ensure that all equipment and machinery are turned off to avoid potential damage when the
power is restored.
 If necessary, move employees to a safe location away from machinery or other hazards.

4.3 Communication:

 Inform employees of the power outage and provide information on what to do during the
outage.
 Use backup communication methods, such as radios or cell phones, to maintain
communication with employees and emergency responders.

4.4 Power Restoration:

 When power is restored, conduct a safety check before resuming operations.


 Turn on equipment and machinery in a logical sequence to prevent power surges and other
issues.

4.5 Follow-up:

 Notify the supervisor and safety officer of the power outage and any resulting damage or
issues.
 Conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the power outage and identify ways to
prevent future incidents.
