Statement of Purpose

I am Muhammad Rubel (DOB: 01-06-1994), a determined and ambitious individual from Bangladesh,
currently pursuing my Master of Project Management at Central Queensland University in Australia. I
am writing this heartfelt statement to express my sincere intent and deep desire for a visa extension, as
my current Student (SC 500) Visa is set to expire on 07 September 2023. My purpose is to complete my
studies and equip myself with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a lasting and positive impact
in the field of project management.

My educational journey has been one of continuous growth and exploration. I completed my Bachelor
of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Primeasia University in December 2018. It was
during my undergraduate studies that I discovered my passion for project management. I found
immense joy in leading teams, collaborating with others, and overcoming challenges to accomplish
complex tasks. This profound experience inspired me to pursue a specialized degree in project
management, which led me to the culturally diverse and academically vibrant nation of Australia.

I arrived in Australia on 18 December 2021, with dreams of broadening my horizons and gaining
invaluable insights into the world of project management. My decision to study in Australia was based
on the country's reputation for providing world-class education and fostering a multicultural
environment that encourages students to develop a global perspective. As I embarked on this
transformative journey, I was filled with enthusiasm and hope for the future.

The Master of Project Management (MPM) is a specialized graduate-level degree program that equips
students with the knowledge and skills to manage projects effectively in diverse industries. The
curriculum covers project planning, risk management, leadership, communication, and ethical
considerations, while also introducing various project management methodologies. Real-world projects
and case studies provide practical experience, and a capstone project allows students to apply their
learning. Taught by experienced faculty, the program prepares students for leadership roles and may
offer preparation for project management certifications. Overall, the MPM program fosters expertise in
project execution, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to handle complex challenges and deliver
successful outcomes in the dynamic business environment. My course in Master of Project
Management has been an exhilarating journey of self-discovery and academic enrichment. The modules
have delved into various aspects of project planning, execution, risk management, and effective
communication – all essential skills that a successful project manager must possess.

However, the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to the world, and
my academic journey was not spared from its impact. The pandemic caused significant disruptions,
including delays in the completion of my course, which was initially scheduled to end on 7 July 2023.
Despite these hurdles, I remained steadfast in my dedication to my studies and persevered through
online learning and remote collaboration with my peers and professors. While the pandemic presented
obstacles, it also revealed the resilience and adaptability within me, qualities that I believe are essential
for any aspiring project manager.

Central Queensland University stood out to me as the perfect institution for nurturing my passion and
guiding me towards excellence in project management. The university's commitment to delivering
comprehensive and industry-oriented courses resonated with my aspirations, and I have been truly
blessed to be a part of this esteemed institution. The faculty members have been a constant source of
inspiration, supporting my academic growth and challenging me to think beyond conventional
boundaries. The practical approach adopted by the university has given me invaluable hands-on
experience, preparing me to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and competence.

My choice to study in Australia has been life-altering, and I have come to cherish this land for its warm
and welcoming atmosphere. The Australian people have been incredibly friendly and accommodating,
making me feel at home even though I am miles away from my family. Studying in Australia has not only
enhanced my academic knowledge but has also provided me with personal growth and intercultural
experiences that will undoubtedly shape my future in positive ways.

Upon completing my Master's degree, I aspire to gain practical experience in the project management
field through internships and entry-level positions. My long-term goal is to contribute my expertise and
knowledge to large-scale projects that have the potential to improve infrastructure, promote
sustainable development, and drive positive change in Bangladesh. The education and exposure I have
gained in Australia will undoubtedly improve my employability and open up various career opportunities
for me. I aspire to explore job prospects in well-known Business firms and companies, including PRAN-
RFL, SQUARE, BASHUNDHARA, Grameenphone, BKASH, and AKIJ. My desired roles would encompass
Project manager, Business Manager, Team Leader, and Business Development Manager. Additionally, I
aim to take up leadership positions where I can make data-driven decisions that have a positive impact
on businesses and society as a whole. Leveraging the expertise gained during my studies, my ultimate
goal is to play a key role in fostering sustainable development and creating a positive impact on the lives
of people in Bangladesh. I firmly believe that the skills and experiences gained during my time in
Australia will play a pivotal role in achieving these aspirations.

As I stand at this crucial juncture in my academic journey, I am earnestly seeking your kind consideration
and support in granting me a visa extension to complete my studies here in Australia. This extension will
not only enable me to fulfill my academic goals but will also allow me to realize my potential as a
competent and effective project management professional. I wholeheartedly commit to complying with
all visa regulations and assure you of my intention to return to my home country after completing my
studies.
