Dr. Orata made and the challenges he had to overcome. Set what you have

After watching the video, pair up with a classmate, then answer the questions
below:

1. “Grit” is a term that describes how a person perseveres and does not give
up despite obstacles. How did Dr. Orata show grit?

Grit is a personality trait possessed by individuals who demonstrate passion

and perseverance toward a goal despite being confronted by significant
obstacles and distractions. Those who possess grit are able to self-regulate
and postpone their need for positive reinforcement while working diligently on
a task. Dr, Orata’s perseverance and hardwork really paid off. Beside of the
obstacles and challenges of his life, Dr. Orata also has a very hard life.
Financial problems occur and the difficulty of his living made him more strong
and clever. He is very career driven and he is focus on studying until he
finally achieve his success. That’s how dr. Orata show grit in his life. He really
is a very inspiring person to each and everyone of us.

2. Had there been instances in your life when you showed grit? Share this
with your groupmates.

Yes, I think there been instances in my life that I really showed grit. Back on
my Primary and Secondary school days, including on the present (College). I
think I’m still showing this trait at the present. Same with Dr. Orata, my life
has ups and down and I experienced a lot of Obstacles and challenges in life
too. I suffer from severe anxiety, depression and got family problems too that
made me weak for so long. But due to the present life, I realized that I must
get up on my knees no matter how life is torture and no matter how hard my
life is. Because, at the end of the day, I can still change to be better. I must
prioritize my family, achieve my dreams, and eventually help them in the
future. I must be responsible not just for my family and other people but also
for myself. I must have the courage and passion no matter how many failures
that may come. If I fail, I must try again. Try until I reach the end of the goal.
Try harder, greater success is to come. Life is Gold, you must do it in the right
way and believe in yourself. You must have the grit, to pass all the test and
positive outcome will come in your way.
