Foreword
Welcome to lesson 3 of The Beginner’s Guide to Advanced Persuasion
Patterns!
I hope you are having as much fun doing this as I am in creating it. Sorry, this
week we have a lot to go through…but it is amazingly powerful stuff. In this weeks
lesson you will get the two most powerful tools that I have.
Let go of powerful persuasion patterns, clever language and all the other things I
have learnt over the years. They are all great and can perform miracles, but if I
were only allowed to keep two processes from my whole body of knowledge it
would be flow states and deep trance identification. Both of these are in the
recording for this week.
There are no quick win patterns this week for three reasons. Firstly there is a huge
amount for you to assimilate in the recordings this week and lots of exercises for
you…so any more would be overwhelm. Secondly, I want your entire focus on
these lessons because they are so important. And finally for any of you that
managed to get on this programme without having The Persuasion Skills Black
Book that is also here for you to download…and you might want to go and play
with some of the material in that.
3. Sensory Acuity
Along with this document you will also have two audio and one video files. You can
play the video file in windows media player. The audio only lessons are in mp3
format which you can listen to on your computer or an mp3 player if you want my
voice to come with you. I have also included an audio only version of the video
presentation but please watch it as a video the first time otherwise it won’t make
sense.
The first thing I would like you to do is listen to the recordings, in order and do the
exercises suggested.
Once you have done that the next thing I am going to suggest you do is listen to
the recordings again with a different set of ears. This time I want you to go
through the recording listening for the embedded commands. There are lots, not
all of them good. Spot all that you can and think about how I would have to
change my language for the ones that aren’t good.
Once you have done this I want you to go through the recordings again with yet
another set of ears. This time I want you to listen whilst thinking about our Results
vs. Identity model and work out what you can about my personality in respect to
the contexts we are discussing.
Finally try out the final exercise on the video on me and see if you can start
modelling my persuasion and language skills. Then go and use this somewhere.
Using your peripheral vision mildly criticise and praise some people. With either
praise or criticism be very mild and gentle, but particularly with the criticism. “You
are looking a little tired today” is about as strong as you need. With your
peripheral vision active you will notice much more about their involuntary signals
like lower lips size, pupil dilation, skin tone and colour, blink rate etc. Just notice
how much more you notice about people in this mode.
Spend some time in pubs, coffee shops and restaurants watching the interaction
between two or more people in peripheral vision. You will start seeing them as a
system interacting with each other, particularly when you know they have good
rapport. Again notice what you notice.
The big thing though is having conversations with people whilst in peripheral vision
and working out their beliefs and values. This is huge and you might want to break
it down into smaller steps as suggested in the recordings.
Do as many of these as are appropriate to you and just focus on the ones that will
get you the biggest results. Remember just ten minutes daily.
Next week you will get some information about creating patterns that will turn you from a
fledgling novice into an NLP Master Persuader within a few minutes of practice. One
delegate on a Practitioner Course told me that the one piece of paper that I will give you
next week was worth the price of the entire course (£2500) on it’s own.
Cheers
Rintu
