It is one whole process, with a full life cycle, that begins with
identification of the needs of the company with respect to the job,
and ends with the introduction of the employee to the organization.
What is recruitment?
• Recruitment refers to the process of
identifying, attracting, interviewing,
selecting, hiring and onboarding
employees. In other words, it involves
everything from the identification of a
staffing need to filling it.
• Recruitment is the first step in building an
organization's human capital. At a high
level, the goals are to locate and hire the
best candidates, on time, and on budget.
• Companies almost always recruit
candidates for new positions via
advertisements, job boards, social media
sites, and others. Many companies utilize
recruiting software to more effectively and
efficiently source top candidates.
Regardless, recruitment typically works in
conjunction with, or as a part of Human
Resources.

Recruitment is defined as a process of


discovering reliable sources of contacting
desirable employees which meets the
staffing requirements of the organization.

organization can attract the adequate
number of manpower to facilitate the
effective selection process and joining of
efficient work force.

skills to a company, but it is vital to ensure
new employees will be a good fit in the
company culture.
