AUBERGINE

This document provides instructions for knitting an aubergine (eggplant) toy. It requires small amounts of 4-ply fingering weight yarn in aubergine and green colors, as well as mohair/lace weight yarn in matching colors. The toy is knit from the top down in stockinette stitch with short rows used to shape the top, bottom, and sides. After knitting the body, a stalk is picked up and knitted downward, then joined to the body. Five leaves are also picked up along the stalk and knitted. Stuffing is added as assembly occurs by joining the seams.
